We went down to Dayton this weekend to visit some friends. We had a had a lot of fun hanging out with them. On Friday we played in their back yard which is really cool, they have a big playset, a sandbox, a little pool, and a huge trampoline that Noel and Evan really enjoyed. We had a cookout and a fire and made smores-mmmm good!!

Playing race car (motor boat) on the trampoline with David
Then on Saturday we went to this amazing park. It was a childrens garden, it had a big "mountain" with a waterfall, and small river that wrapped around for the kids to play in, and caves for the kids to run through. There was also a sand play area, a watering area where the kids could pump water from a well and water the plants, and a hedge maze. There were all different kinds of plants and flowers and it was absolutely beautiful. Here are some pics of the gardens

I'd rather be fishin!

We went fishing at Veterans Park on Thursday and Evan caught his first fish! Great job Evan!

Official Stats

Evan went for his two year check up today and the doctor was very impressed. She said he is doing really well and is right on or above where he is supposed to be developmentally. He weighs 28 lbs 8 oz, which puts him in the 54% for weight. And he is 36.5 inches tall, which puts him in the 94% for height!! We are so proud of our perfect little boy!!

Thank you!

Thank you so much to all of our friends and family that were able to make it to Evan's birthday party!! Evan had such a good time and loves all of his gifts! I was a little worried with the weather because it was pouring rain all morning. But at 2:00 the sun came out and it was beautiful for the rest of the day!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Evan!!!

Yesterday was Evan's 2nd birthday! We had a fun, but tiring day. We went to the zoo in the morning and saw most of the animals. It was 92 degrees so we didnt last long. We came home and tried to get Evan to nap, but he was too excited about his day. So Grandma Debbie came over and gave him his birthday presents and we played at home for a while. Then we had dinner and took Evan to Toys R Us to pick out his big birthday gift. We got him a basketball hoop and an alphabet thing for the frig. He seemed to have a great birthday.

This is Evan showing us how old he is!

Playing with one of his new toys (Elefun)

We tried to touch the stingrays, but Evan was too short. Mom touched them-how weird!

"How tall are you?" Our Evan is 3 ft. tall already!!!

Camping in Hocking Hills

We took Evan on a camping trip to Hocking Hills State Park. My sister and her husband let us camp with them on their site. The trip there and back was not much fun, but we had a great time hanging out, doing all those fun things you do when you camp (making smores, sleeping in a tent, hiking, and just relaxing)! Hocking Hills is a beautiful place with lots of nice hikes, here are some pics of our fun adventure!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July and hope that everyone else did also. We spent the afternoon with my friend Heather and her family and friends. We had a lot of fun playing cornhole, eating good food and just hanging out. Here are some pics of our fun.

Heather is actually throwing the bag even though this picture looks like she is kicking it! :-)
We decided to try and keep Evan up to watch the fireworks. He was a little scared at first, but warmed up to it and watched the whole show and loved it. He kept talking about the fireworks and asking for more and saying they were pretty.
