Happy Fathers Day!

One of my gifts for Noel for Father's Day was tickets to the Lake County Captain's Game. It was Evan's first time at a 'real' baseball game. It started out wonderful, took a turn for the worse, but ended up good. Here's how it went down:
First we showed up and found our seats-which were awesome. We were 4 rows behind home plate! And there was no-one next to us, so we got to spread out and have lots of room.

They started the game with a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Then in the second, the Suns scored 2 runs and were leading 2-1.
Things got really exciting in the bottom of the 6th when the Captains tied up the game.
At this point we decided to go over to the Kid's Fun Zone and let Evan play. He had so much fun on this big blow up slide and watching the game from the lawn area.

This is where things started going south. They stayed tied until the 12th inning, when the Suns scored one run and were up 3-2. Phew, finally the game would be over and we could watch the fireworks, since Evan was already up 2+ hours past his bedtime! But wait . . . The Captain's came back and scored a run in the bottom of the inning to tie it up again!
Finally at 11:50pm the Suns scored a run and won the game 4-3! Bummer loss, but now we get to enjoy the fireworks!! Evan loved them, and overall is was a really fun time, Evan was great and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow at home. Go Captain's!
