K'NEX fun!

We recently had an opportunity to try out some new K'NEX products and wanted to share the fun. Emily got the Talking Knight in armor Elmo building set.

He was pretty fun and Emily (and Evan) were really excited when he started talking.

Pros: talking feature makes the toy more fun for kids, they improved the packaging so that you can easily get the parts all back in the container, easy assembly for ages it is designed for, and allows for creativity.

Cons: talking feature can get annoying for parents.

Evan got the M&M race car. He was very excited when he saw the box and couldn't wait to get started.

I do not have many good things to say about this product. It was somewhat difficult to follow the directions and all the tiny, tiny stickers had to be put on the car. I think it would have been better if some of them were already on and the kids could just put on a few of the bigger ones. Also, one of my biggest problems, and I notice this a lot with K'NEX, is they do not stay together very well. We were able to turn this around and make it fun, we told Evan that NASCAR is all about the crashes, so we started crashing it into things and it would explode into many pieces. Then we would rebuild and do it again. :)
