The city of Willoughby has this really cool event every year called touch a truck. We went one other year and it was raining and not very good, but this year the weather was perfect and the event was amazing. They must have had 3 dozen different kinds of emergency/army vehicles that the kids got to get close to.
They could climb in and on them and touch the controls and ask lots of questions, as Evan did.
The coolest part was the landing of the life flight helicopter on the front lawn. Evan couldn't get enough, he asked the firefighters, EMT's, and pilots questions until they kicked him out of the vehicle because other kids were waiting.
