Patterson Family Fun Fest

This week, we went with our neighbors to the Patterson Fall Fun Fest. It was a LOT of fun. When you show up, they take you on a wagon ride back to the play area. Once you get there the "kids" can run free to play with all sorts of fun things: a huge hay gym with hay barrels and slides to climb on, huge tire swings, push go-carts and tractors, corn mazes for children and adults, two really long slides, tree houses, sand boxes, and lots of things to climb on, in, and, around, and as many apples as you can eat!

Evan's New Toy

Thanks to Grandma Debbie, Evan now has a motorized tractor!! He had a lot of fun riding it around the yard. He still has to figure out the steering part, but he liked it a lot. Thanks Grandma Debbie!!

Willoughby Hills Corn Fest

We just went to the W.H. Corn Fest at the W.H. fire station. It was really cool, even though it was raining. The kids could climb in the trucks and cars, and they had a horse and police dog there. They had carnival food and games. There was going to be a cornhole tournament and lots of other things planned. I think if it wasn't raining they would have had even more going on, but Evan had fun. We are looking forward to going again next year.

The World of CROP's

Last night I participated in my first CROP. For those of you who have no idea what that is (which I didn't until a few months ago) it is a scrapbooking party. We had a conference room in a hotel and huge tables set up to work on scrapbooking. I was having trouble finding a baby book that I liked and was not willing to spend $40 on one that had 10 pages I would not use, so I have ventured into scrapbooking to try and make Evan's baby book (2 years late!). We were there from 5pm until midnight and I was able to get 4 pages about 90% done!! It is very fun, but very time (and $) consuming. Luckily my friend, Heather, was there and had all the stuff I needed and helped me out tremendously! I could not have done it without her!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. My brother and his family came up from North Carolina to stay with us. The weather was perfect, so we had a lot of fun just hanging out in the backyard, playing some cornhole, making smores on the fire and watching the kids play together. I think Evan really enjoyed having friends around all the time.

We celebrated Madison's 6th birthday on Saturday.

On Sunday we went to the Memphis Kiddie Park on the west side. It was amazing! What a cool place I cannot believe I never knew about this place. They have 11 kiddie rides for children 50 inches and UNDER! Evan, Madison, and Grant had a blast!

Camping at Pymatuning State Park

We went camping for the second time this summer. This time we went to Pymatuning State Park with some of our friends. Noel took his sailboat and he and Bob did a lot of fun sailing on the lake while Brenda, I, and the kids hung out at the campground having lots of fun. We played at the beach, went for walks, and got some icecream. It was a very relaxing and fun weekend. Can't wait to go again next year!! We really liked this park a lot, it was huge with plenty of different types of campsites to choose from and a little playground for the kids.

Sorry we haven't blogged much in the last few weeks. We've had a pretty mellow time. Evan has decided to stop taking naps all of a sudden! He has taken one, hour and a half, nap in the past week! Noel is sick today with 102 fever and needless to say I am exhausted. Thats the bad news, the good news is. . . hmmmmm. . . well we took Evan for his 2 year pictures today. He was not very cooperative, but we got some really cute ones. I am going to start tutoring a third grader which will be nice to be back in the teaching world and help out financially a little. Hopefully we will have more to share soon.
